Project: Tlachiyaliztli Tlahtolli / Future Classics / Clásicos del Futuro / Classiques du Futur
Mexapparel x APRDR—The T-shirt as a creative act
At Mexaparel, we believe that fashion is not just about wearing clothes: it's about thinking, living, and transforming . In collaboration with APRDR , we launched a project that
celebrates one of the most powerful icons of contemporary fashion:
The t-shirt as a cultural, political and artistic canvas .
Thus Tlachiyaliztli Tlahtolli / Future Classics was born, an invitation to redraw the present and project possible futures, one garment at a time.
The context: the future is at stake
In an era marked by artificial intelligence, visual saturation, and disposable fashion, this project put at its center the most powerful thing that
We have: individual imagination .
How do we imagine the future? What deserves to be preserved? What will be transformed?
Each design is a unique and visceral response.
The proposal: to redraw time
We invite design students in Guadalajara to customize one of our signature t-shirts:
260gsm, 100% cotton, vintage wash in white .
A premium base —developed in our own processes— that became a creative playing field to capture the spirit of a
generation : their questions, contradictions, passions and dreams.
The jersey: a classic that never fails to say something
From functional uniform to aesthetic statement. From the streets to art.
The t-shirt has accompanied the disruptive voices of each generation: from James Dean to Vivienne Westwood's punk, from DIY to graphic activism.
Today, it remains the perfect medium for saying what matters.

The result: 15 visions, 15 worlds
We selected 15 final pieces that were presented on the catwalk during the sixth edition of Aparador GDL , on April 3 .
We also produced a photographic editorial , which brings together each intervention as a visual manifesto of the present and what is to come.
Here we share some images of this collective process that, more than reinterpreting a garment, reinvents how we dress our ideas .
